IHA is committed to providing opportunities for hospitals and systems to pursue innovative strategies to improve patient safety and reduce harm across the board. Additionally, IHA strives to provide opportunities for success stories in patient safety and quality to shared with legislators, healthcare leaders, and colleagues across the state.
This year, innovation opportunities will focus on the following categories:
behavioral healthcare,
care coordination,
infection prevention,
opioid stewardship,
patient safety, community health, and
emergency preparedness.
The IHA's Quality Excellence Achievement Awards recognize and celebrate the achievements of Illinois hospitals and health systems in innovating and transforming Illinois healthcare.
This annual event provides a forum for hospital representatives to communicate improvement initiatives to state legislators at the Capitol Rotunda in Springfield, Illinois.
The Illinois Health and Hospital Association has worked with several hospitals and community based organizations to create Implementation Playbooks based on high impact innovations, best practices and quality improvement innovations from across the state of Illinois.
