MAPS PSO Basics: Part 1 - PSO Policies & Protections – Tuesday, March 24, 2020
One of the core building blocks for MAPS onboarding involves designing and implementing a Patient Safety Evaluation System Policy (PSES.)  We’ll discuss why a multi-disciplinary team is key to operationalizing your PSO activities onsite.

  • Working with PSES template & inventory forms to start policy development
  • Deciding on the scope of events to be reported
  • Locating the data and Patient Safety Work Product (PSWP) across the organization
MAPS PSO Basics: Part 2 PSO Data Overview - Thursday, May 21, 2020
One of the key patient safety activities for a PSO member is to submit data in accordance with the organization’s Patient Safety Evaluation System Policy (PSES.)  We’ll discuss why data submission is a valuable component of maintaining an active PSO membership.

  • Understanding key data fields for submission to MAPS using the AHRQ common formats
  • Understanding how to work the data within NextPlane to explore key learning opportunities
