COVID-19 Face Mask Resources Linked to Non-Profit Mission - May 21, 2020
Many Illinois residents have faced challenges finding facial coverings. Cloth facemasks are not intended to replace medical grade personal protective equipment, but they do provide a barrier to spreading droplets to others. The Renew Project is based in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. They have launched an effort to sell cloth masks to the general public following the CDC guidelines. Each mask has two layers of cotton fabric and elastic ear fasteners. All purchases go directly to supporting refugee families in the local area.
