COVID-19 Questions and Collaboration on Handling Difficult Patient Behavior - March 19, 2020
Hello MAPS members:
We are hoping to generate collaboration on our blog site by asking members to post questions about their COVID-19 challenges.  This is an open site and will allow our members to post and respond to all member questions.  Please keep in mind to not share any HIPPA information or protected information.  These comments will not be considered Patient Safety Work Product or PSWP, but is meant for member collaboration..

Let's get the discussion started:
Are any of you experiencing patients who are stressed and becoming verbally abusive or violent?  If so, are you changing your security and policies to deal with the increased influx of patients?  Can you share any policies or no tolerance signage for patient behavior?

Thanks,
Carrie Pinasco, Senior Director, Quality, Patient Safety and Health Policy
